Privacy policy

This page explains, in plain terms, exactly what this site does and does not do with your data. The short version: there is no account system, nothing about which cells or times tables you click is sent to a server or saved between visits, and the only data collection on the site is a cookie-free analytics beacon and an optional, anonymous feedback vote.

What this site is

Multiplication Chart (this domain) is an independent educational tool. It is a small, single-purpose site: an interactive multiplication chart on the homepage, a print-focused version of the same tool, and a plain reference list of the individual times tables from 1 to 12.

The chart runs entirely in your browser

Every part of the chart, generating the grid, responding to a click, painting a highlight, switching sizes, and toggling practice mode, is plain JavaScript running in your own browser tab. No click, highlight, chosen size, or practice-mode toggle is sent to any server operated by this site. There is no backend endpoint that receives any of that activity, and nothing about how you use the chart is logged anywhere.

Nothing is saved between visits

Unlike some tools on this network, the chart does not use your browser's local storage to remember your last size, color, or highlighted cells. Closing the tab or reloading the page resets the chart back to its default state (a filled, unhighlighted 12×12 grid on the homepage, or a blank 12×12 grid on the printable chart page). If a future version of this tool adds that kind of memory, this page will be updated to describe exactly what gets stored and how to clear it, in the same style as the rest of this policy.

Analytics

If enabled, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free analytics service. It does not set any tracking cookie, does not build a cross-site profile of visitors, and does not use any persistent device identifier. It reports aggregate figures, page views, approximate visitor counts, and general performance timing, without identifying individual visitors. If analytics is not actively configured for this domain at the time you are reading this, the corresponding script simply does not load at all.

The feedback widget

Below the chart, a small "Was this tool helpful?" prompt lets you send an anonymous thumbs up or thumbs down, or an optional short written comment. Submitting it sends only which page you voted on, which button you clicked, and, if you chose to write one, your comment text. No cookie, IP address, or device fingerprint is stored alongside that feedback. A note is saved in your browser's local storage purely to stop the prompt from asking again on the same device; that note contains no personal data.

Server requests and basic technical logs

Loading any web page necessarily involves your browser making requests to a server, in this case Cloudflare's infrastructure, which hosts this site. Like effectively every website, baseline connection information (such as IP address and request timestamp) passes through that infrastructure as a normal part of serving the page and is subject to Cloudflare's own standard operational logging, used for security and reliability rather than for tracking individual visitors on behalf of this site. This site does not separately collect, store, or review that information itself.

Third parties

This site does not sell, rent, or share visitor data with third parties, because it does not collect meaningful visitor data to begin with. The only third-party service in use is the optional, cookie-free analytics beacon described above, provided by Cloudflare as part of hosting this site. No advertising network, tracking pixel, or third-party script currently runs on this site. If that changes in the future, for example if a paid advertising slot is added, this page will be updated to reflect it and to name the specific network involved.

Children's privacy

This site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age, since it does not operate an account system and does not require any personal information to use the chart. The content itself, times tables and multiplication facts, is general-audience educational material, often used by children with a parent, teacher, or tutor.

Your choices

Because no chart state is saved anywhere, there is nothing to clear or delete for the tool itself. If the feedback widget's "don't ask again" note (see above) is the only thing you'd like removed, clearing your browser's site data for this domain through your browser's own settings removes it. Because no account exists, there is no login to delete and no server-side profile to request removal of.

Changes to this policy

If the data practices described on this page change, for example if a future update adds local storage to remember your chart preferences, this page will be updated to describe the change plainly, in the same style as the rest of this policy, rather than moved or hidden behind a version history.

Frequently asked questions

Does this site use tracking cookies?
No. The optional analytics service in use, if enabled, is cookie-free by design and does not build a profile of individual visitors. No advertising or tracking cookie is set by this site.
Is my chart activity, like which cells I click, stored on a server?
No. Every click, highlight, size change, and practice-mode toggle happens entirely in your browser. Nothing about your specific activity is sent to a server or saved anywhere, on the server or in your browser.
Do I need an account to use the chart?
No. There is no sign-up, login, or account system anywhere on this site.
Will my highlighted cells still be there if I come back tomorrow?
No. The chart resets to its default state every time the page loads, since nothing about your previous session is saved. See "Nothing is saved between visits" above.
